Description

The Ibramed’s Neurodyn Multicurrents brings innovation to its technologies, offering 8 different types of current that allow the professional to offer several kinds of treatments to his clients. It is a transcutaneous neuromuscular stimulator with four channels that have independent controls for the treatments with the following currents: Aussie current (Burst Modulated Medium Frequency), Russian Current (Burst Modulated Medium Frequency), TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation), FES (Functional Electrical Stimulation), Tetrapolar Interferential, Bipolar Interferential, Polarized Current, microcurrent, and High Volt Current (High Volt pulsed current).
The equipment has pre-programmed protocols and 20 particular ones granting to the professional security during the applications and freedom to create your own protocols and save them at the equipment. Neurodyn is a great complete option for your clinic!

Currents

Aussie Current

The Aussie Current is an alternated current of medium frequency released in short bursts (1 KHz/ burst duration of 2ms or 4MHz/ burst duration of 4ms) used to produce maximum muscular torque or analgesia respectively, without significant discomfort to the patient.

Russian Current

The Russian Current is an alternated current of medium frequency (2,5 kHz) modulated in rectangular bursts used to produce muscular strengthening without any significant discomfort to the patient.

The TENS Current

The biphasic symmetrical quadratic waveform of the TENS Current, Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation, has a short pulse duration and is capable of strongly stimulate the skin’s nerve fibers. The TENS is a classical current used at the pain treatment via sensorial stimulation and the stimulus is well tolerated by the patient, even during relatively elevated intensities.

The FES Current

The FES Current, Function Electrical Stimulation, uses low-frequency stimulus to produce functional movements or a series of movements lost by injuries and/or nervous system compromise.

Tetrapolar interferential

The Interferential Current (ITP) is a medium frequency waveform distributed between two channels (four electrodes/ 4 poles). The currents suffer interference at the channels’ crossing point, resulting in an intensity modulation (the current’s intensity increases and decreases in a regular frequency).

Bipolar interferential

The Interferential Bipolar IBP (pre-modulated 2 poles) is a form of medium frequency pre-modulated waveform distributed through each channel. The current’s intensity is modulated: increases and decreased at a regular frequency (Amplitude Modulated Frequency).

Microcurrent

The Microcurrent (MENS Microcurrent Electrical Neuromuscular Stimulation) is a form of a monophasic wave or very low intensity (µA) alternated wave, under the sensory threshold that simulates the electric potentials generated by the human body.

Polarized Current

The Polarized Current is a sinusoidal current with a half-wave rectification that flows in only one direction.

High Volt Current (Pulsated High Volt)

The CPAV (High Volt Pulsed Current) also known as HVPS (High Voltage Pulsed Stimulation) is a sinusoidal monophasic current (the current flows in only one direction) with twin pulses of high amplitude (high voltage) and short duration. The high voltage causes the skin resistance to decrease making the current be comfortable and tolerable.

FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

Do the accessories come with the equipment or is it necessary to buy them separately?

- The equipment comes with all the necessary accessories for the use of all the currents available in the Neurodyn Portable Tens.

Can the Aussie Current be used for the recovery of the muscular function and pain modulation?

- Yes, it can. The Aussie Current allows the therapist to act in modulating pain charts, in the functional recovery of the skeletal muscles and in the lymphatic stimulation. To do that, the carrier current parameters and the pulse duration must be modified, according to each treatment’s objective.
